2. Submit the following supplementary materials by mail (the forms are included in the on-line application.)


• Student Program Commitment Form (included in online application form)
• One Letters of Reference (included in online application form)
  
• Deposit
  • $50 deposit - if applying for financial aid (applied to program fees if accepted) -or-
  • $450 deposit if NOT applying for financial aid (applied to program fees) (Note: Deposits will be fully refunded if not accepted in program.)
• Student Interview Check Form


3. Application Deadlines
• Oct. 11, 2012 Early-bird Application (save $50)
• Oct. 19, 2012 Application Deadline
• December.31, 2012 Application Deadline extended for Intensive Trips!
• (Please Note: Applications need to be in the GV office or postmarked by these dates. Applications are accepted after October 19th; however, applications submitted by the due date have priority over those submitted after. Space is limited.)


4. Student Interview
If you attend one of the following high schools (or live in close proximity), please schedule an interview with the teacher at your school as soon as possible. Waiting until last minute will put your chance of getting an interview at risk as teachers have busy schedules

If you do NOT attend one of the high schools listed above and are not applying for financial aid, please call the Global Visionaries office to set up a 15 minute interview at 206.322.9448.

If Applying for Financial Aid

Please also submit:

• Financial Aid Request Form (included in online application form)
• Most current IRS tax form (1040 or other)

In addition to your regular interview, you need to attend one of the following Financial Aid Information nights and have a financial interview with a Global Visionaries representative:

Please contact our offices to schedule you attendance on either of the following days for a one hour time slot. Please bring your most current IRS Tax Form to this appointment

The application, letters of reference, deposit, and financial aid request are all due on Tuesday, October 19th, unless you are applying for the Early Bird discount, then your application and deposit must be in the office Wednesday, Oct. 11th, 2012.

MANDATORY First two Meeting Nights for Accepted Students and Parents/Guardians. Please save the date and mark it on your calendar.

Online Application Instructions

The application takes about two hours to complete.

You can prepare for the application by having the following information available beforehand:

• All relevant contact information for applicant, applicant's teacher(s) and counselor, and applicant's parents/guardians.
• Applicant's medical history.
• Essay responses. The four essay questions are:


• Why do you want to participate in Global Visionaries?
• Define leadership in your own words.
• If you could change one thing in the world or in your life, what would it be? Why? How would you change it?
• What are you passionate about?


• Family financial information.
