The Global Visionaries (GV) Student Fundraising Coordinator (SFC) coordinates the grassroots fundraising activities of our high-school participants. These fundraisers include wreaths/garland sales, coffee sales, a benefit dinner and a Water Walk-a-thon.  The intern manages these fundraisers, with support of youth and parent volunteers. 

This internship also offers an opportunity to mentor low-income participants with their fundraising efforts and support them in building leadership skills throughout the program.  Intern responsibilities may include general program support.

This is an 8-12 hour a week commitment beginning October 2011 and ending in June 2012. The schedule is flexible, with some office hours required and some weekend commitments required. This is an unpaid internship.

Desired Qualifications

• Innovative and development minded
• Experienced in working with high school students
• Experience with grassroots fundraising recommended
• Good communication and organizational skills
